Financial Reporting
This is one of the most important aspects of any organization and yet, while the bookkeeping and accounting may be adequate, the resulting reports are many times inadequate. The organization may think, it’s the report that the system provides, paying no attention to what their audience actually needs or expects. Creating and automating these reports is my specialty.

I reference QuickBooks, QuickBook DeskTop, & QuickBook Online (QBO) for ease of reading. However, the same concepts apply to most all modern accounting systems (many listed here).

  - Beyond general accounting. Analyzing unique system or marketing data
  - What is a large dataset? Most are in the range you may expect, say, 1,000-10,000 records (rows of data). 50,000-100,000 records is very common, 1,000,000 gets us bragging rights; with the largest we’ve worked with at 12,000,000 records
  - Types of projects: Mailing/Customer List, Sales Analysis, Solar Energy Generation (in 15 increments), Inventory (1 M units per day)-Quality Control, Inventory Shrinkage, Entry Systems, Accounts Payable Vendor Fraud, Customer Traffic (Now and Long Term Trends)
  - Many of these projects are auto-linked to the accounting system, many are automated downloads from the accounting system, and many are linked or downloaded from non-accounting system, such as sales, solar productions, water usage, etc.
